Can you believe those postal workers?

I wonder how much valuable stuff gets “lost” in the mail every day.

What really gets me is this - How did they know how extremely valuable this package was?

Here’s what happened…

Since I’m a JV Partner with the geniuses over at Stompernet, I get the inside track when they have a product about to launch. 

This go round, they let me know they were going to send me a press copy of their latest products “Stomping The Search Engines 2.0″ on DVD, and their new trade journal ,”The Net Effect.”

That was actually pretty big news considering a lot of the time you get access to pre-release products, they are only downloadable versions.  Brad and Andy and their team went overboard to make sure that physical copies were sent out in a timely fashion before their launch.

That’s when the suspicious activities began…

Since I live in Dallas, most of the time when someone sends something out to me, it usually arrives in just 2 or 3 days, no matter where in the U.S. they are sending it from.

So, I was anxiously awaiting my goodies to show up at my Post Office.  I was checking my box every day (sometimes twice a day).  I always love getting cool packages in the mail.  It’s kinda like Christmas.

Well, 3 days passed, then 5 days, then a week, and not a sign of anything from Stompernet.

So, I started getting a little concerned for the safety of my goodies, so I checked with the guys to make sure they had my correct mailing address.  Sure enough, they did.

I waited a couple more days and still didn’t have it.  Finally, Tom over at Stompernet had to send me a download link to grab the stuff and take a look at it.

He ended up sending me another set of press copies which I received promptly a couple days later, but I never saw the first set.

I’m thinkin’ the mailman ain’t no dummy… 

He knows something extremely valuable when he sees it… and decided to “borrow” it and do his own “review.”

You always hear about postal workers going crazy, but I think there’s one out there who is smart enough to get an exit plan in place before things get to that “crazy” level.

Somewhere out there is a mailman who’s loving life with all the awesome content that he snagged from the guys over at Stompernet.

I gotta tell ya’, the product that Stompernet sent out is some of the best content I’ve seen if you’re serious about doing real business on the net.
